National Membership Dues Cap Increase To Be Considered

future for the sport

The Greater Houston USBC Associaton delegates to the National Convention will be considering a proposal to amend the USBC bylaws to allow for the national portion of annual dues "not to exceed $15.00". This would be the first increase in the national portion of membership dues since 2005. USBC dues currently are $10 for national dues and $10 for local dues. The Greater Houston USBC membership approved a local dues increase from $8 to $10 in 2010.

The following link connects to an article on bowl.com from USBC Executive Director Chad Murphy concerning the direction of USBC and this year's theme: Today's Vision is Tomorrow's Future!

The second link will display a fact sheet concerning the key programs funded by the National portion of your annual membership dues. Keep in mind, your local association provides many of the same services for our members with the local portion of the due, including an awards program and staffing and operating the association office on a full time basis, providing support to leagues and centers concerning rules and many other issues that may arise.
